As we all know, Google AdSense is a fantastic way for making huge money online. Google Adsense enables website publishers to display ads on their websites and get paid whenever visitors click on the ads. Google Adsense is widely regarded as the undisputed leader in PPC programs world-wide. But, many people have problem making money using Google adsense. The reason being due to poor site content/quality, placing too much links or pictures on the sites instead of quality text information. But, there is a main problem which causes Google Adsense earnings to stumble dramatically, which many adsense affiliates may not be aware of
Google ads are displayed by another program run by Google known as " Google AdWords". But there are numerous advertisers who join the Google AdWords program just to increase their web traffic, and not really for the sake of making people read their sites or to sell their products . So the ads of these kinds of websites are very low in cost. These ads are called MFA (Made for AdSense) ads. These websites don't have any informative content in them, and are mostly single page websites and probably show a couple of Google ads in them just for the sake of earning through it. So if a visitor of your website clicks on a MFA ad, you will get a very low price for the respective ad and further your visitor will not find any information on that ad’s website. For example, if a popular website ad fetches you $0.50 per click, the MFA will fetch you just $0.02 or $0.04.
MFA site owners put a very low bid and join the AdWords program, just to publish their advertisements.
Remember these are not websites with content, they are just ads displayed on a single page, so the advertisers can get easy earnings, given the fact that they spend very less for the advertisement. The only one affected here is you, since you get almost nothing for a click on the MFA site.
But there is good news!!!! There is an option in Google Adsense account with which you can block any website to show its ads on your website. For example if your website is related to job advertising, then you can block "cosmetics.com" to display its ads, simply because it is not relevent to your website’s content.
Similarly you can get a MFA website list and put them on your competitive filter list to block their ads. This can be done by logging in to your AdSense account and going to the "Adsense setup page" where you will see a "competitive Ad filter list". You just need to enter the address of the site you want to block and save the list. Within 12 hours, your website will stop showing ads of that particular site on your block list.
Adding competitive ad filter list can improve your adsense earning and Click rate(CTR). The reason is that relevant ads will always show up only with relatively high Cost Per Click(CPC) whereas irrelevant will get you almost negligible earnings. Using AdBlacklist.com is very easy, and it can generate 50 black-list URLs for your website and 200 black-list URLs if you register with them. You can increase your earnings as much by 200% to 500%
There is another method available for the above, called Google Adsense preview tool (available on google). Here you can check which ads will show up for your website. So this is another useful tool to increase your adsense earnings dramatically by adding a competitive ad filter list.
