Most people must be familiar with the Sauna Slim Belt, a modern electrical working Belt which claims to make people slim by reducing body fat and unwanted flabs in areas around the abdomen, Hips and waist. Over the years, Sauna Belt has gained popularity among people, especially in India. Currently, there are many companies which sell slimming belts under the trade name "Sauna". The belt is being promoted by popular tele-sales agencies and is featured on TV advertisements as well. The price of the belt varies across different brands, and generally costs somewhere between $25 and $40. The Sauna Slimming belt companies claim that one can get rid of fat around the abdomen, hips, thighs and buttocks and become slim in a matter of months. It claims to reduce your waist line by 4 to 6 inches in weeks, with a reduction of 0.5 to 1 inch during the first session of use.
How does Sauna Belt work?
The Sauna works on electricity(can also be operated on battery) and comes in the form of a foldable light-weight belt which you can wear around your abdomen, thighs or buttocks. The Belt works on a simple principle- Once the switch is turned on, the material inside the belt gets heated up by converting electricity into heat energy- the same principle that an electronic Iron works on. This heat is used to burn the fat tissues around your abdomen, thighs or buttocks. The fat is removed in the form of sweat after 15 to 30 minutes of usage. The belt is to be worn for 15-30 minutes each day on an empty stomach, before food. It should not be worn around your chest area, if you want to reduce your breast or get rid of Man boobs (gynecomastia)
Does Sauna Slim Belt really work?
Well, this is a tough question to answer. While people have got significant reduction in their mid-section by using the belt, the belt hasn't made any substantial change on other people. Further, the Sauna Belt works only in the abdominal area, whereas in order to reduce overall body weight, a person has to exercise all parts of the body with a proper diet schedule. Further, since fat accumulation is common around the hip and thigh areas of women due to continous secretion of Estrogen hormone, there is no scientific proof to ensure that the belt can keep fat development under control. Care should be taken while using the belt since it works on electricity. Further, make sure that you don't increase the heat range of the belt too high as it may cause heat sores on your abdomen.
Overall, Sauna Belt is a useful product for weight reduction. However, it's more effective if it is combined with Exercises and a proper diet schedule. Hope this information is helpful to you

My experience is that infrared saunas do work, even in the form of these belts. But than I'm now biased, as I started selling saunas after experencing a weight loss of 5 pounds in my first month using a infrared sauna. Not a sauna belt, but still it is the same technology..

hi i was 112 kgs (height 5'11 ), so i started using sauna and had some results but not as much as i wanted so i started working out three or four times a week , combined with slight change in my diet ( took corn flakes and slim milk for break fast and included salad in dinner ). now after six months am 76 kgs , am still working out , using sauna and follow balanced diet , my gym people say in two more months i will get a six pack . i did not restrict my self too much on diet but made few alterations only , like i used diet pepsi instead of normal one and for alcohol too i started drinking rum and club soda. my friend who works in odd shifts and cant work out more than two days a week , made changes in diet , used sauna also took fat reduction pills (lipo 6) he has had good results too ( but not as much as me ) so u can follow which ever suits your lifestyle .

sauna slim belt begins at INR 300 in chennai , they are korean products and have life of four months only , if u buy costlier products u might get a longer life one . while u are at it u might also want to check out sauna belt with vibrators in addition to sauna it also gives u the massage and tones ur abs better this gives u stronger abs than regula sauna belts, in colombo u can get it in customs duty paid shop or singapore plaza but naot sure bout the cost though . side effects !!!??? i havent had any so far and i know few people who use it they didn say any complaints too . but hey all people i know are in teens and early twenties so not sure bout old people
